What is Botox/Dysport? Our skin will furrow and fold between the brows due to muscle contraction when you frown or concentrate. Similarly, when you squint, the muscles around your eyes contract and cause crow’s feet. Injecting Botox/Dysport into this area will weaken these muscles causing temporary improvements or disappearance of the existing lines.
Fillers are used to treat volume loss around temples, eyes, brows, lips, cheeks, jowls, jawline, hands and mouth. JUVÉDERM® is the #1 selling collection of hyaluronic acid fillers in the U.S. Each product in the collection of fillers adds volume to a different area of the face to lift cheeks, smooth parentheses lines, or plump the lips. The results are subtle and long-lasting. Our JUVÉDERM collection includes: JUVÉDERM® Ultra XC JUVÉDERM® Ultra Plus XC JUVÉDERM® Volbella XC JUVÉDERM VOLLURE™ X
BOTOX® Cosmetic is the first and only FDA-approved treatment to temporarily make moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines look better in adults. It’s a simple, non-surgical, treatment that temporarily smooths moderate to severe lines caused by muscle movement.
Dysport is a prescription injection proven to help smooth the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows without changing the look or movement of the rest of the face. Lines that are minimized, not your expressions.
When a small amount of purified Botox/Dysport protein is injected into a muscle it causes weakness of that muscle. This typically appears in 5-7 days and usually lasts 3-4 months (but can be shorter as each person will vary)
Side effects and complications are minimal. Occasionally, slight swelling, numbness and/or bruising may last several days after the injection. Some may experience a transient headache at injection site. Rarely, an adjacent muscle may be weakened and cause a temporary droop of the eyelids. Other side effects may include respiratory infection, flu syndrome and nausea.
The Restylane family of products includes Restylane®, Restylane-L®, Restylane® Lyft with Lidocaine, Restylane® Silk, Restylane® Refyne, and Restylane® Defyne. Restylane® and Restylane-L® are for mid-to-deep injection into the facial tissue for the correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds. Restylane® and Restylane-L® are also indicated for injection into the lips in patients over the age of 21.
The Restylane® line smooths away facial wrinkles and folds, provides subtle lip enhancement , smooths the lines around the mouth, adds lift and volume to the cheeks and helps reverse the signs of volume loss in the back of the hands.
JUVÉDERM® XC is the first and only non-surgical hyaluronic acid (HA) filler FDA-approved to instantly smooth moderate to severe wrinkles around your nose and mouth for up to one year with optimal treatment.
As we all know, the fine lines and wrinkles come as you age. Most of us don’t think about the loss of volume in our cheeks and sagging skin that accompanies! JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC is the first and only FDA-approved injectable gel to instantly add volume to your cheek area to correct age-related volume loss in adults over the age of 21. Like Juvederm, Voluma is a hyaluronic acid based filler, but in a more dense form. This provides the substantial lift and volume needed to cheekbones.
Voluma gives a very natural and refreshed look to an aging face with volume loss and wrinkles or folds due to sagging. We are not simply “filling in” the folds… With Voluma, we are replacing the lost volume in the cheekbone, which in turn lifts the cheek and smooths out the sagging skin. This makes the lines less apparent without leaving an “over-filled” look around the mouth. Due to Voluma’s cross-linked structure, the product is long-lasting, providing results for up to 24 months.
The most commonly observed side effects are swelling, redness, pain, bruising, headache, tenderness, lump formation, itching at the injection site, and impaired hand function. These are typically mild in severity and typically resolve in less than 7 days in nasolabial folds and less than 14 days in lips. Complications for facial injections, can include vision abnormalities, blindness, stroke, scabs, or permanent scarring of the skin. As with all skin procedures, there is a risk of infection.
For JUVÉDERM® XC, most side effects are mild or moderate in nature, and last 7 days or less. The most common side effects include temporary injection-site reactions such as: redness, pain/tenderness, firmness, swelling, lumps/bumps, bruising, itching, and discoloration. As with all skin-injection procedures, there is a risk of infection.
For JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC, side effects are moderate (uncomfortable), and generally last 2 to 4 weeks. The most common side effects include temporary reactions at the treatment site such as tenderness, swelling, firmness, lumps/bumps, bruising, pain, redness, discoloration, and itching. As with all skin-injection procedures, there is a risk of infection.
